Magic Square Manuscript

9.95

What many people witness during my show looks like Sudoku on steroids, and it has been around for a very long time.  It is called a Magic Square.

Magic Squares date back over 4,000 years to ancient China and have existed throughout history and in many different parts of the world.  The magic lies in the fact that when the numbers in each row, column, main diagonals, four corners, and grouped 4-squares of the Magic Square are added together, the sum is always the same.

These number puzzles have fascinated some of the world’s most brilliant thinkers, including Benjamin Franklin.  He studied and composed some amazing magical squares, even going so far as to declare one square “the most magically magical of any Magic Square made by any magician.”

This is the manuscript to a puzzle that will amaze anyone and everyone for whom it is performed.  I use the term “performed”, because that is exactly what you are going to do.  If you simply ask for a number and proceed to fill in the Magic Square, you lose the mystery and impressiveness of the effect.  Worse yet, you become the person who is subtly saying... “Look how smart I am!”; and nobody likes that person.

As I present the Magic Square in my performance, I make the suggestion that I put myself into a trance.  While in this trance state, I see the numbers move around me.  As they are swirling around me, they begin to take some sort of order as they start to fall into the individual squares of the larger Magic Square.  By having a story or scripted presentation for the Magic Square, you give it more impact.

You may use my presentation if you would like.  I suggest, however, that you come up with a presentation that suits your personality.  Practice your routine until it becomes absolutely natural for you.  With practice, people will think you are some sort of number genius... or better yet, some sort of wizard.

Now, buy this manuscript; and let’s learn how the Magic Square works.
